FAQs

What all do you typically photograph on a wedding day?

It definitely depends on the amount of wedding day coverage you have, but I almost always photograph the following: details, getting ready, first look, bride & groom portraits, wedding party portraits, family portraits, ceremony, and the main events at the reception (special dances, cake cutting, bouquet, & garter toss, exit)!

Can I give you a “shot list” of pictures I want taken on the wedding day?

Absolutely! I definitely want to know all the special details and moments you want captured, as well as a list of formal family portraits so that we are sure we don’t forget anyone during all the hustle and bustle!

Is there a travel fee for my wedding or engagement/bridal session?

Any weddings or sessions taking place outside of the Jackson, MS area will have additional charges for transportation, dining, & hotel accommodations. This travel fee will be discussed during your consultation.

On what days do you schedule engagement & bridal sessions?

I prefer to schedule portrait sessions during the week but I know this is not always possible. I’m pretty flexible if a weekday is not feasible for you! Usually portrait sessions take place between 3-6pm, depending on the time of year!

What happens if it rains?

If it rains on the day of your scheduled engagement or bridal session, we’ll just reschedule! If it rains on the day of your wedding, don’t worry - I’ve had plenty of experience shooting weddings in the midst of rain & you will still have beautiful images!

When will I receive my images?

A few days after the wedding you will receive a sneak peek sampling of about 50-100 images! The full gallery will be delivered 8 to 10 weeks after the wedding day. Engagement and bridal session turn around is approximately 2-4 weeks.

How long have you been photographing weddings?

I have been documenting wedding days for 14 years now and I love it just as much, if not more, as when I first started! I added video services on about 5 years ago as a way to add more value to my clients and add to the story telling.

What makes you different from other photographers?

Not only I am experienced in all types of weddings and situations, but I also have a degree in Interior Design and excel at styling flat lays, details, and making sure everyone looks their absolute best before having their portrait made. In addition to this, I am also a great team player and am first and foremost here to serve my clients to the best of my ability!

I’ve also been told (by a minister, and father of the groom, no less) that I was the most efficient and easy to work with photographer, especially during formal family portraits!

What is your favorite part of a wedding day to photograph?

I love everything about photographing weddings! But if I had to choose a few specifics it would be the details, exchanging of rings, and the cake cutting!

What is your style of photography and videography?

True to life and natural color with minimal posing and directing. Rest assured your best self will always be highlighted while in front of my camera!

Booking

Wedding dates are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. Dates are held with a non-refundable retainer of 30% and signed agreement, with the balance due 30 days prior to your wedding day.
